Homework week 6

Hi guys,
This week what I would like you to do by Friday is to let me know what you thought about athletics day! What did you enjoy the most? What was the most challenging? How do you think Tainui went?
I would also like you to create a Limerick (Remember Poetry last term....) This must be a NEW limerick that YOU have created - not one from your book.
Good luck guys, I look forward to reading great things!

Mufti vs Uniform

Mufti vs Uniform is a common discussion amongst students. Students often wish that they could wear mufti everyday to school, whereas teachers and students like uniform. Why do you think this is? What is your personal opinion? Have you been to a school where you got to wear mufti? What are the pros/cons? I look forward to hearing all about your views!

Statistics Investigation-By Jake

In room 3 at the moment, we are studying Statistics. We have been learning about gathering information, collating it and graphing it. As part of this unit, we also had to do our own Statistical Investigation. My investigation was on favourite ice-cream flavours in Room 3.
For the statistical investigation we have been asking the class questions and recording them.
Once we had asked the questions and recorded our answers we had to draft 3 graphs on each topic.
Then we would use our three graphs and put them onto a A3 piece of paper to make a poster. This has been quite interesting and challenging as I have learnt a lot about various graphs. What did the rest of room 3 think about doing these investigations?

Rollerblading Babies

Concertinas- By Jess

At the end of term 2, Room 3 had a poetry assignment to complete a concertina.
We had to choose 4 different types of poetry. We had covered concrete, haiku, Acrostic, Limerick, Turn abouts, rhyming, free verse, Cinquains and many others. Our concertinas had to be as creative as they could be. We had a great time doing this and some of the results were amazing!
